As we contribute to the creation of a prosperous, comfortable and sustainable society, we're focusing on ethics and compliance, quality, environmental protection, philanthropy and improved communication.
To strengthen the awareness for the importance of reforestation to youths, we participated reforestation activity together with students from Dream Train Youth Development Center at the plantation of Mangiumcia in Hmawbi township on 19th January 2020.
As a first Environmental CSR activity by Mitsubishi Electric Asia Pte Ltd (Yangon Branch Office), we joined the reforestation project in Hmawbi region together with students from Dream Train Youth Development Center under the arrangement of Albirex Myanmar. Myanmar Forest for Life is major organizer and coordinator for this tree thinning and seedling activity which is part of the reforestation project which is under the control of Central Forestry Development Training Center (CFDTC). Some families also joined voluntarily in this activity.
We provided necessary funds and brought the students of Dream Train to join with us for this environmental CSR activity in Hmawbi region. We aim that they can experience and knowledge of reforestation activity such as seedling, planting, thinning and harvesting. We believe that this one-day activity in the forest can extend their external knowledge and get the awareness of importance of reforestation to sustain the nature.
With the honor and respect of Myanmar culture and society, Mitsubishi Electric Corporation and Mitsubishi Corporation jointly donated the 2 units of elevator at the East Entrance of Shwedagon Pagoda on 3rd April 2018.
Continuously, in 2018, 2 units of elevators have been donated at the East Gate of Shwedagon Pagoda. This new elevators substitute the old elevators which were installed in 1996. The new 2 units of elevators have a capacity for 20 people for each and it is also a joint donation by the Mitsubishi Electric Corporation and Mitsubishi Corporation to contribute the safety of visitors to Shwedagon Pagoda which is 2606 years old. Yangon Region Chief Minister U Phyo Min Thein, patron of the Shwedagon Pagoda Board of Trustees U Win Naing and other invited honorable guests attended an offered appreciation speech this ceremony.
It is proudly noted that the Yangon Region Chief Minister U Phyo Min Thein commented that this generous contribution is not only remarkable for Shwedagon Pagoda but also a notable event for building a peace and strong bridge between Myanmar and Japan for future collaborative activities. Also, U Win Naing, the patron of the Shwedagon Pagoda Board of Trustees, concluded that this kind donation will make safety and convenience of all visitors and he made a wish of sustainable success, healthy and wealthy of two donator : Mitsubishi Electric Corporation and Mitsubishi Corporation.
For the comfort of visitors and preservation of invaluable documentary photographs, Mitsubishi Electric Corporation donated air conditioners, ventilation fans and air curtains to the Photo Gallery at the north stairway behind the point of victory of Shwedagon Pagoda on 13th of July 2017.
As a continuous contribution to the Shwedagon Pagoda, Mitsubishi Electric Corporation donated 3 units of ceiling suspended type air conditioners, 2 ventilation fans and 4 units of air curtains to the Photo Gallery which is located behind the point of victory at the north stairway. Our sole distributor for HVAC and LVSG products , Peace Myanmar Electric Holding Co., Ltd also contributed installation service and two year maintenance service to the donated products at the Photo Gallery. The Photo Gallery is a showcase of history of Shwedagon Pagoda since 18 century to the present. It is a good chance to give sufficient coolness to preserve the documentary photographs and but also comfortable environment to the visitors.

Shwedagon Pagoda is scared, glory and historic for Buddhism and Myanmar people. It is learned that there are about 80,000 visitors a day on normal days. On days of religious significance, the number of visitors to the pagoda has reached around 200,000. To provide safety and convenience of daily worshippers and tourists, we donated 2 units of elevator jointly together with Mitsubishi Corporation at the South Entrance of Shwedagon Pagoda.
Mitsubishi Electric Asia donated high-efficient air conditioning systems to the U Thant House in cooperation with local distributor.
The U Thant House, which belongs to the government, is a colonial era building within the Windermere compound in Yangon. The former United Nations Secretary-General U Thant lived there in the 1950s before leaving to serve as Burma’s Permanent Representative to the UN in 1957. In early 2012, President U Thein Sein approved a request from Yangon Heritage Trust Chairman Dr. Thant Myint-U that the house be renovated for reuse as a museum dedicated to the life of U Thant, as well as a center for public events, on issues related to the former Secretary General and his work.
In order to contribute to preserve this historical property, Mitsubishi Electric Asia and PME donated 7 inverter air conditioners for the U Thant House in October, 2015.
Mitsubishi Electric Asia signed a memorandum of understanding with local distributor and Myanmar Engineering Society (MES) to provide training to engineers.

A two-years memorandum of understanding was signed among Mitsubishi Electric Asia, Peace Myanmar Electric (PME) and MES to provide training on air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
Through its authorized distributor, PME, lessons and hands-on would be conducted from fundamental to advanced curriculum on platforms provided by MES. The courses equipped engineers with adequate knowledge to manage the most advanced heating ventilation air conditioning (HVAC) systems. A refrigeration kit was also donated to MES for training use.
Opening the door to future generation of engineers, Mitsubishi Electric and Yangon Technological University (YTU) signed agreement on technological cooperation.

Mitsubishi Electric was one of few selected leading manufacturers who had cooperated with Yangon Technological University (YTU) under the Myanmar government push for human resources development. It was the first time for Mitsubishi Electric to partner with a Myanmar educational institute to groom Myanmar engineers.
A technological cooperation was signed with YTU for a three-month internship program. Under this program, selected YTU students would attend the program in Japan from December 2014 to February 2015.
